Maidstone United kindly invited teams from Ditton Minors to attend their Community Day and watch the League match against Canvey Island. A great day was marred by the fact that Maidstone played so poorly and lost the match 3-0, the highlight however was Steve Bunn fulfilling a life long ambition to score a goal on the hallowed turf of his beloved Maidstone Utd! when he took part in the half-time penalty shoot out. Steve performed admirably and eventually tied with "Super Dave" the current Champion in a sudden death shoot out after scoring all 6 of his penalties, Steve was awarded a trophy and ball as a momento and will now be know as "Super Steve".
